Started from the desire to recreate the ceremony of our ancestors, the dance performance “Return with glory” was conceived and formed after hard working of Viet Art View and Choreographer – Bùi Tuấn Anh. One of the difficulties of the performance was how to create a connection between the art of dance and the visual art of the painting “Return with glory” by artist Nguyễn Khang.
To develop the idea of connecting, we went from the beginning, where it all started with a mother’s lullaby. Our journey was like accompanying the main character from his childhood in his hometown. The student went through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, always diligent with the ambition of contributing his talent to the country. A happy childhood of studying, with the love of family and laughter with friends, nurtured the love of homeland in the heart of the main character. The ceremony of “Return with glory” – the day he returned – was the result of that lullaby, with gratitude to family and homeland.
