In 2025, Vietnamese Modern Fine Arts is 100 years old. In a century, with periods of fine arts, creative stages, generations of artists have been formed and developed along with the history of the country. That journey has been and is continuing to develop strongly.

On the creative journey, Vietnamese fine arts have created a rich identity, marking achievements with great artists and works of profound historical, cultural and artistic value.

Those achievements are marked by historical periods. Through each period, artists have affirmed their names: Some have had great success in their creations, some have been honored as great artist, and some have been awarded prestigious awards such as Hồ Chí Minh Prize, the State Prize for Literature and Arts, etc.

Those historical and artistic values, in addition to being recognized, are also preserved and conserved by the State’s agencies. At the same time, it is widely introduced to the public and art lovers through the system of museums, art centers and organizations operating in the field of culture and art. In addition, companies, auction houses, as well as galleries at home and abroad have been implementing diverse forms, helping the public access, enjoy and understand more deeply these values ​​through works of art. In particular, Millon is one of the oldest and leading auction houses in France, with direct auction branches and representative offices in most continents in the world, regularly organizing auctions of Vietnamese art.

In early 2023, Millon Auction Group developed a headquarters in Việt Nam, one of Millon’s important headquarters. From April 2024 to the present, Millon has organized a number of auctions in the form of duplex, two ends of Paris – Hà Nội. Many valuable works of art by famous artists have been displayed and auctioned. Each duplex auction receives attention and appreciation from art collectors and organizations.

In 2025, Việt Nam Fine Arts is 100 years old. On November 15, 2025, Việt Nam Fine Art University will hold the official 100^th Anniversary Celebration of the school. Millon is pleased to be the official sponsor of the 100^th Anniversary Exhibition of Modern Fine Arts held at Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum on November 14, 2025. At the same time, Millon is honored to co-found the Victor Tardieu Award with A&V Foundation, a regular award organized by Việt Nam Fine Arts University and signed the decision to establish it in October 2025.

Previously, activities marking the important event were organized by agencies and units related to celebrate. In conjunction with those commemorative activities, in June 2025, Millon organized a duplex auction in Hà Nội titled Legends: 100 years from Indochina Fine Arts College with outstanding works by artists who studied at the school.

To continue and develop that theme, Millon decided to organize an auction titled 1925 – 2025, Legends and Future on November 16, 2025, one day after the 100^th Anniversary of Việt Nam Fine Arts University.

This is a deliberate arrangement – Millon built the idea of ​​a theme throughout the past 100 years – with names of artists and works, bold artistic imprints that have become legends, symbols of Vietnamese fine arts. Next will be more 100 years. New artists will be shaped in the future and Millon believes that the young generation will contribute new achievements to the line of Vietnamese fine arts.

Currently, the Vietnamese art collection market is increasingly attracting more attention and interest from art lovers. This poses new expectations and challenges for Millon’s auctions when it must convey the message of creating new historical values ​​for the works introduced.
