As part of Viet Art View’s work plan (May 2023), Ms. Bùi Hoàng Anh – representative of Viet Art View visited, talked and interviewed painter Nguyễn Trung at his studio.
Painter Nguyễn Trung was born in 1940 in Sóc Trăng. He is one of the typical and outstanding representatives of Southern Fine Arts for more than half a century. His career and artistic life parallels the development of Southern Art.
Previously, there were many research and critic articles written about painter Nguyễn Trung with many multi-dimensional views on art. But painter Nguyễn Trung said that basically, he all attributes his style and manner to the foundation of Asian art.
During the talk, Viet Art View showed artist Nguyễn Trung an image of his work ‘Abstract’, oil, 100×100 cm, created in 2000. The painting will be in the ‘Asian painters, major works’ auction at Aguttes, France, on June 2, 2023.
He mused when he saw the painting and said that it’s been a long time since he’s seen it.
After that, he talked a lot about abstract art, about his passion for abstract paintings and he continues to create abstract paintings…
